was formed in 1979 by it's current Los Angeles native, Architectural Designer husband, and wife team, proprietors.
We currently and hopefully, always specialize in only Classic, Restored, Vintage 1920s, 1930s and Pre-War Properties
that are Architecturally significant and in the better neighborhoods...therefore, our Service Mark: 'It's Where You
Want to Live'.
Our primary philosophy is to offer a contemporary lifestyle harmonized with the unfortunately,
long-gone ambiance of a Golden Age of the lifestyle and architecture in Los Angeles.
This does mean the absence
of: central air, ample parking, granite counter tops & built-in appliances, community pools / gyms / business centers,
cottage cheese ceilings and the list goes on. If this is what you desire, GLB Properties is not for you.
What it usually
does include are lost amenities such as: real hardwood floors, original (sometimes unusual colored) tiles, restored vintage
stoves in many cases, great period style lighting, beautiful plastered walls, some with original plastered crown mouldings
and / or beamed high ceilings solid doors, arches, mahogany wood details, quirky but fabulous floorplans & architectural
details, tighter parking situations, private atmosphere and in a number of cases, properties that have been officially designated
as historic by the City...all considered deluxe by our standards!
